My sister died to today. She has gone to be with Jesus and Our Father in heaven. I hurt. She no longer hurts.

She had been in the hospital for about 2 weeks because of cellulitis in her leg. Today, I talked to her and she had told me that she would only have one more treatment of debriding on her leg. She said that the doctors told her it was improved. She had gotten up to use the portable potty chair, got dizzy and collapsed. They called - code blue - on her and were not able to revive her.

Her name was Lura Langenback. She met the Lord on December 7th 1975. I know where she is now.

She leaves behind a grieving husband, a daughter in Iowa, a mom, and more family nearby. They will all need a lot of prayer to get through this. It was totally unexpected.

In Memory of Lura Langenback - loved and missed.

Cellulitis is an inflammatory infection of the skin tissues. It can be extremely painful to the point of screaming. I know, I have had it three times before. Right now, my sister in Arkansas has this. She is in the hospital as I type. Her name is Lura L. She needs your prayers for her recovery and healing.

Cellulitis can cause gangrene, amputations, and even death if not treated properly. I still have burn scars on my left leg from when I had it. The burn part of it came from the heat of the infection in my leg.

Please pray for her and any others who might be afflicted with it. It is a dangerous ailment.

Thank You for your prayers.

What I am talking about here is ordinary life. We moan about things that go on - like “I have a cold, and my husband does too.” We also give praise for things that happen - Thank God that truck didn’t hit us since it was going so fast.

It might not seem like praise at the time, but it is. God is always pleased when He is thanked for something His has done for us out of His love. It might not seem so easy to give Him praise in ordinary things, but praise can sneak up on you when you least expect it. We have colds. I give praise that we do not have the flu or something even more serious. Yes, a simple cold is not simple - coughing, sniffling, sneezing, chills will all make you miserable. However, anything else ……I leave to your imagination.

I believe that we do not give God enough praise. Sometimes it can be very hard to do, for example when you lose a friend. We have lost three friends within the last 2 1/2 months. Jesse to lung cancer, Fred to throat cancer, Linda to pneumonia. Yet, all three people loved the Lord and we know where they are now. They are with Him in Heaven. We can praise the Lord for His mercy that they do not hurt any longer. We can praise Him that they are in a better place. I do not mean that in the way that others will mumble in order to placate someone, but spiritually is the way that I mean that. Yes, we hurt because they are no longer with us. I would rather they were in Heaven than here on earth, hurting, suffering, and in pain, though.

The title of this article is about regular life. Life is composed of times to moan, times to laugh, times to cry, and times to celebrate.

I can not say it as clearly as is said in Ecclesiastes 3:1- 8. It might be hard to find something positive in most situations, who am I kidding, it can be very hard at times. I know from personal experience. If all that we looked for in life was the negative, life wouldn’t be very good would it?

We have lost another friend. Her name was Linda Frick. She dearly loved animals and helped us to get one of our current pets - Samantha a white cat that is very loving and affectionate.

Linda died on Sunday after a sudden illness. Her family can use some prayer for this hit them hard. Linda knew the Lord, so we do know where she is now, but she will be missed.

She had fought and won the battle against colon cancer, after a number of surgeries. She did not give up easily. She also would find homes for homeless animals. Each animal would be given a chance at a loving safe home with someone who needed a furry friend.

She will be missed greatly by all of her friends.

Our neighborhood has been having some troubles in it and the residents need protection and safety.

All prayer requests are appreciated. The more there are people praying, the stronger the prayers. The bible says that one can put 1,000 to flight, and 2 can put 10,000 to flight.

Thank You for your prayers.

Believers from all over the world reach out to one another and ask for prayer. When we, ourselves reach out for them, we also take part in a great out reach to God for His mercy and compassion. Thank God for the internet that helps this to take place even easier than when just letters were sent back and forth. From Bangladesh comes this prayer request : Hasina Akhter

While you are praying for her, please also pray for these others:

Hazel Perry - health

Adam - shoulders + surgery

Bosco - broken arm

The more that we pray for one another, the better it is for all of us.

Thank You for praying for God’s mercy for everyone listed here and in other places. Thank You, Jesus for listening and keeping us close to Your heart. Thank You, Jesus for interceding for us with You Father in Heaven. In Jesus’ name I pray - Amen.

I just saw a picture that immediately spoke to me about how we are to thirst for God’s grace. This picture shows two mice looking at a drop of water that is hanging on the tip of a leaf.

The look in the faces of those mice, shows complete interest and hope in that drop of water. One mouse is just looking and hoping. The other mouse appears to be reaching with everything in its little body to get that water. We should be reaching out to God in the same way as that reaching mouse. We should be striving with everything in our power to quench our thirst with God’s presence in our lives. The hope that can be seen in their eyes, I have seen in human eyes, too. Sometimes things happen to dash the hope in a person’s eyes. That is so sad. However, God is still waiting for anyone to reach out to Him with that same yearning and hope for their thirst to be quenched. Why don’t you try reaching out to Him through His Son, Jesus. Your hope will be answered, your thirst will be quenched.

My sister just sent me an article that is very touching. It is called The Preacher’s Son.

It does explain why we should tell people about Jesus every time we have the opportunity. That young man did the Lord’s Will and a life was saved along with a soul. My husband went out witnessing with a friend at an apartment complex here in town that people used to call ‘Little Harlem’ because of all the troubles going on there. They went house to house and talked to people. Once house they went to had very loud shouting coming from it. A man and wife were fighting, loudly. When they knocked on the door the fight was finished and the couple listened to what was said. I do not know if they decided for Jesus, but they listened and the fight ended. Bringing The Lord into peoples’ lives is always a blessing.
