Who do you serve?

Welcome back!

Good question.

I had someone once ask me about the vest that I wear out in public.  It is for the El Shaddai’s Warriors motorcycle ministry.  On the back, the center patch has several emblems on  it.  One of those shows a shield with a star of David on it.  The lady asked me why that was there since I am a Christian.  I told her that I serve a Jewish Carpenter.

Anyone who has read the bible knows that refers to Jesus.  The Jewish people are God’s people.  Any Christian is an adopted child of God through Jesus.   These days it seems to be ‘the thing’ to smear or criticize Israel.  The flotilla incident is just one thing.  Those soldiers had to defend themselves from being stabbed to death, or being bludgeoned to death by those ‘activists’ who were carrying weapons.  The media has decided to ignore that fact and instead to criticize those Israeli soldiers for defending themselves from the people on board of that blockade running ship.  The blockade is NOT against civilized law since Israel has been attacked in ways too numerous to list here.  Ordinary people have the right to defend their lives every day.  Why are the Israelis not allowed the same right?

I am afraid that I am complaining here.  Inequality does have a tendency to make me upset.  So, back to the original question.  Who do you serve?  Some people have been seen to serve their company, or its employment rules.  Others seem to serve at the local bar.  Still others serve their country by being in the military.  Some are publicly seen to serve the goals of terrorism.

I choose to serve a Jewish Carpenter.
