Welcome back!
I had trouble sleeping last night. Thank God - I’m alive.
I woke up with pain all over my body. Thank God - I’m alive.
My blood sugar was not at the correct level. Thank God - I’m alive.
My feet hurt and throb still, Thank God - I’m alive.
Did all of that sound a little weird? Maybe, but in all of those gripes, I do thank God that I am alive. I wouldn’t be feeling this if I wasn’t alive. Yes, there are better things about living than pain. It just happens to be one of the proofs of living. I am able to think, I am basically in my right mind. I am able to walk, talk, think, laugh, cry, hug a loved one. I am alive.
These might seem like simple things - they are- but, they are important. So many no longer have the opportunity to do these things. To be able to talk to someone and apologize for somethng done wrong, to accept someone else’s apology - they too are important. While you are alive, there are many different things that you can do that are no longer available to you when you are dead.
You can accept salvation while alive. When dead, you no longer have that option. Jesus is not the big bad wolf, he is so full of love and life that He went through incredible pain and agony just so we could have the option of either Heaven or Hell.
Guess which one I chose? I am not into pain, so I decided to go with G.R.A.C.E - God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense. Jesus paid the debt over sin so that I would not HAVE to pay for the wrongs that I did in my life. Get this folks - A FREE GIFT.
There aren’t many of those these days. In our daily lives we will find the effects of inflation every where. Salvation has no inflation in it anywhere, gee a free gift with no hidden strings attached.
A lot of people believe in recycling things. God presented us with a way to recycle people. I like it. ![]()
