House Cleaning

Welcome back!

When you clean house, do you leave the front door or the back door open and let all of the dirt and dust back in?

That’s the way it is when you drive evil out of  ‘your house’, meaning you.  When you get yourself clean, you best not leave the doors open for the dirt or evil to return.  The Bible says, “resist evil and he will flee”. By studying the Bible and keeping its words in our hearts, we are strengthened and able to resist the evil one.

Ephesians 6:11-18  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God:  praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Our daily living is not just sit back and float through life.  It is a constant work to stay on the right side with Jesus inside.  Once we have cleaned out the dirt, we should never let it back in.
