Laundry Day

Welcome back!

We all know about laundry.  We do, after all, wear clothes.

What  many do not know is that we need a laundry day in our personal lives.  Every day we get up and go about our business.  some times people ask us questions that we do not want to answer.  Do we answer, or do we hem and haw about?  If we hem and haw, and answer something that is not true, we have lied.  Then the laundry that is ourselves has gotten dirty.  Even if only a little bit, that dirt will keep us out of the possibility of going to Heaven.  Yes, I do believe that there is a Heaven.

Why would we not be allowed in?  Because dirt is not co-operative with clean.  Heaven is clean.  If we ourselves are not clean, we will not be allowed in.  Simple isn’t it?  Getting clean, or having our personal laundry day, is equally simple.  Acceptance that we have messed up is first.  Second, regretting that we have done things wrong is next.  It doesn’t matter if we think it was just a little matter, it is there.  Have you seen a blank sheet of pure white paper?  Of course you have.  Put a small dot of black in the middle of it and the paper is no longer empty.  No matter how large or small that dirt, that black is there.  The third thing that we need to do is ask for forgiveness for all of the wrong that we have done, no matter what it was.  Then invite in the one perfect answer to getting clean.  Jesus shed His blood to cleanse us from sin.  Remember that black spot on the paper?  His blood is better than an eraser, better than white out.   You, the paper, will be cleansed and all black will be removed as if it had never been there.

With Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you will be clean, you will have your perfect ‘laundry day’.
