Welcome back!

No doubt many have heard of the old saying -If life hands you lemons, make lemonade.  Everything in life will NOT go as we plan it.  Awoke from a strange dream.  People were coming to a banker to get their money.  He kept side stepping the issue and tried to talk them into doing different things until he came up with what was owed to each person.

Unfortunately the people kept letting him do this until he had a lot of people running around thinking that they were getting somewhere by doing these strange things while waiting.  Now that I’m awake, it reminds me of politicians in office.  They make promises, over and over again.  It seems that these promises never come to pass, and yet, people never call them to account.

What ever happened to accountability concerning our public officials?  Have we become ineffective in collecting what is due us as  the citizens of this country?  For each time that we let another politician get away with passing the buck, another buck is added to what is owed the American people.  We do no one any favors when we let them get away with this, especially ourselves.

We have to give account to others for our deeds.  Whether we accept it or not, that is true.  Sooner or later, we will have to answer for each act, thought, and deed we have done.  Shouldn’t we get this done while the possibility of change is still possible?  When we’re dead, it is too late to change anything.   Eternity is a long time to spend regretting what we did.  It is also a long time to spend in a place we don’t want be.
